40 lakh Assamese-speaking Muslims may get ‘ethnic tribe’ tag

The Assam government is likely to give "ethnic tribe" nomenclature to four groups of Assamese-speaking Muslims living in the Brahmaputra Valley who were earlier called indigenous Muslims.
