While northern states have seen nearly a dozen father-son duo as CMs, there are just two instances in the southern parts. First is Karnataka where HD Kumaraswamy became the CM while his father HD Deve Gowda served as the CM from 1994 to 1996. Then comes YS Rajasekhara Reddy who served as the CM of AP from 2004 till his death in 2009. Now, his son Jaganmohan Reddy is AP's CM.
