Rajya Sabha chairman and Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu on Monday rejected the Congress-led opposition’s notice for removal of CJI Dipak Misra, holding that there was no “substantial and verifiable” evidence of wrongdoing, but the cloud of controversy hanging over the Supreme Court refused to go away, with Congress announcing that it would challenge the order in the apex court.
