MoD inks Rs 1,200 cr deal to upgrade 37 airbases

The defence ministry on Friday inked the long pending Rs 1,200 crore deal with Tata Power SED (strategic electronics division) to progressively upgrade 37 airfields of IAF, Navy and Coast Guard with modern infrastructure and equipment to help fighter and aircraft operations in poor visibility and adverse weather conditions.
