Akhilesh's big test in east UP: Can he get OBCs to vote for Maya's BSP?

With more than 70% of the 27 seats going to polls in the last two phases in Uttar Pradesh, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav will have to ensure that his votebank — OBCs — roots for SP’s alliance partner BSP. Mayawati has fielded her candidates in 17 of the 27 seats that will see a BJP-gathbandhan contest on May 12 and 19.
