Why India wants to buy S-400 system from Russia

The S-400 deal is considered to be the among the most advanced air defence systems in the world. The deal if materialised will not only be a "booster shot" in Indian Air Force's arm but will also establish India's strategic autonomy because of the threats of sanctions that the US poses.
