Both BJP and Congress helped Mallya enter Rajya Sabha. It has been alleged that CBI had issued a notice to block Mallya from trying to leave India, which was later changed to 'report' when he leaves the country. Also, banks kept lending him to rollover Kingfisher's loans, which, some say, wouldn't have been possible without political support.
