Kamal Kishore, a class VI student, was returning home with his mother and aunt in Guwahati when their country boat capsized and sank in the Brahmaputra river. He jumped into the river thrice within 20 minutes to save his mother and aunt. Even though he had reached the safety of the river bank he jumped again to save a woman carrying her infant.
