New year begins on chilly note for north India
The New Year began on a chilly note for North India as several places recorded temperatures below 1 degree celsius with Rajasthan's Sri Ganganagar, which nearly touched the 50-degree mark last summer, shivering at 1.5 degrees celsius. 4 final Gaganyaan astronauts to begin Russia training this month
In September first week, India picked 12 test pilots who cleared the level-1 screening for the Gaganyaan programme. The Institute of Aerospace Medicine (IAM), which selected the 12 astronauts from 60 applicants, had completed one round of screening, and now Glavkosmos— a subsidiary of Roscosmos (Russia’s space agency)— has completed the screening, enabling selection of the final four.
